bbe/rapster releases new kings of electro featuring Playgroup & Alter ego
The subsequent trend of 2007: mix compilations featuring the best of old and new electronic music. ‘The Kings of Electro’ should prove to be another goodie from BBE/Rapster, this time showcasing the mix talents of Playgroup (Trevor Jackson) and Alter Ego (Roman Flügel & Jörn Elling Wuttke). The new double mix is scheduled to be released on September 24th.

A third of all Americans purchased music in 2006, a 5 point increase from the year before - and so on. However, the amount of money that US consumers are spending on music is in a constant decline; the average expense for the average music patron has strayed from around $230 bucks in 2000, to nearly half that today – not that they are buying any less, just spending less.

Amazon combines drm-free music with physical product on mega-site
The largest media trafficker on the devil-net is Amazon.com – the heavyweight champ. New rumors are surfacing that Amazon may be the next gargantuan to take on iTunes in this instant gratification digital delivery revolution by combining all represented content onto the same playing field within the endless pages of its website. Meaning, both physical and DRM-free digital dowload products can be found on the same content pages as apposed to supporting a stand-alone download site. This move would ultimately simplify the world of Amazon music for both the company and its consumers.

Australia recognizes formidable cd revenue decrease
While online digital music sales have nearly doubled thus far in 2007 (roughly 15.9 million singles), the global CD industry continues to decline as Australia verifies with their latest sales figures. During the first half of 2007, the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) reports that overall physical revenues dropped 17.3% to $139.8 million, and unit sales show a 15.7% decrease to $20.7 million.
The online digital music sales market accounts for nearly 10% of the overall global music market and continues to rise daily.
